  Information about Andrew Walton and other family artists     Andrew Walton trained as a painter in Oxford & Cardiff in the 1960s. He has taught in schools and colleges, run workshops in museums and galleries and organised summerschools on working in the landscape. His work is in many private and public collections.   Walton co-curated two touring exhibitions for the Arts Council of Great Britain with Michael Harrison. “More Than a Glance” & “Alive to it All” during the 1980s.   During the 1990s visits to India resulted in a series of works on paper in response to Hindu sacred shrines and Mughal minitures.   Travelling in British Columbia for six months during 2003 & camping in the interior, the resulting work shown at Gallery Vertigo in Vernon and while as artist in residence at Grand Forks Art Gallery Returning to England this was exhibited at New Greenham Arts   Recent work continues an exploration of landscape and the urban environment through observational painting and schematic representation.   Walton has been Artist in Residence with OVADA , was a founder artist of Oxford ArtWeeks .   His work is exhibited with the The Rowley Gallery, London & CareyBlythe Gallery Oxford
